Frequently Asked Questions
How quickly can I finish this course?
City of Las Vegas First Offender DUI Program was designed to take the equivalent amount of time
as a traditional in-class drinking and driving or alcohol awareness
school. To meet Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles' guidelines, this
course will take you no less than eight (8) hours to complete. The
great thing about this course, however, is that you work according to
your schedule, at your own pace. Feel free to log on and off the program
at will.
Does the course cost anything?
Unfortunately, there is a cost to attend this course. $150 will cover
all elements of the course including immediate access to the site, the
completion certificate and online verification. Regular in-class DUI
schools charge similar fees. DUI schools are privately operated
businesses and whether you sit in a class or choose this online program,
you will need to pay a fee.
How can I pay for the course?
You can pay for the course by credit card only although a check debit
card wth the Visa or Mastercard symbol on it will also work.
How do I register for this course?
Registration for this course is quite simple. You can Click Here and be taken to the online registration page. Just
complete all the appropriate fields and you can get started right away.
You may also call us at 1-866-384-2321 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
and register right away.
Can I use someone else's computer or Internet service?
That is what makes this course so easy and great! You can take this
course from home, work, a friend or family's house, your local library,
or you can even rent time on the Internet at a copy/computer center.
Whatever computer you use, you simply need Internet access. You can also
start on your own computer and then finish on another.
Must I complete this course in one sitting?
City of Las Vegas First Offender DUI Program is designed for an individual who
does not have a lot of time. The course is broken up into sections and
you can log off and then log back on at a later time. The computer will
record the section you have completed. You can log on and off as many
times as you wish until you complete the program. You can also do the
entire course in one sitting.....it is up to you.
What if I have no e-mail address?
Do not worry if you do not have an e-mail address, as one is not needed
to take this course. Any correspondence can be directly printed off the
program or be done via mail or telephone. Or you may also use a friend's
e-mail address if you wish.
I have already enrolled. How do I get back into the program?
If you have already enrolled, you have a username and password. You may
re-enter those codes on our home page where instructed
as many times as necessary to access and complete the program. If you
have forgotten or lost your username or password, give us a call at 1-866-384-2321.
I just got knocked off line in the middle of a section. What do I do now?
Many Internet users are knocked off line frequently. This may result
from a lost Internet connection, another call interrupting your
connection if you are on a single line with call waiting, or simply
because your own computer crashes. Remember, as you complete each
section of the course, your progress is logged. Completion of chapter
one, for example, cannot be lost if your answers are submitted to the
system and graded on screen. Being knocked off line at that point, will
only bring you back to the start of the next chapter, it will not delete
chapter one. Our website is unable to control your Internet connection
and inactivity on your part will not result in our system knocking you
off line. Any activity requirements will be on the part of your Internet
service provider.
I use AOL and I keep getting knocked off line. What should I do?
If you are using AOL as your Internet service provider, you will have
activity requirements while online. During some of the longer sections
requiring more reading, there is a chance AOL will knock you off-line
unless you remain interactive with AOL. Do not leave the screen alone
for any great length of time.....remain interactive with the screen.
Which browser is recommended for best access to your site?
For best access to our website, we recommend using Internet Explorer.
The browser is free and can be downloaded
at
www.microsoft.com
Are there any special computer or download requirements to participate in the course?
There are no videos to download in our program and no special
requirements at all of your computer. If you are on this screen and on
our website, you can typically enroll and complete the course without a
problem.
Can I take the entire course from home or do I have to submit an affidavit of identification?
You're in luck! City of Las Vegas First Offender DUI Program is one of the DUI school in
Nevada to offer you the chance to complete your DUI School program
completely from home! Other schools will require you to print out a
form, take it to a notary public and then send it in to their school in
order to complete their program. Instead of using this method,
OnlineDUISchool.com obtained permission from the state of Nevada to
utilize an online verification system built that works in conjunction
with the "Experian" credit agency. By using this method, we are able to
confirm your identity by asking you questions about your credit history.
If you decline to use this method, have no credit history, or are unable
to pass the questions asked, you WILL have to submit the notarized
affidavit of identity. If you have any further questions please contact us.
